The Bowen Island Community Health Centre is not an emergency room or a walk in clinic. If you are experiencing a medical emergency or need immediate medical assistance, call 911. You can get Medical Advice by calling 811.
The clinic has some capacity to see patients for urgent issues (stitches, painful infections, an injury, or a child with a fever). Please call and speak to a member of the Health Centre team before coming into the clinic so we can be ready when you arrive. We will also offer same-day appointments on a case-by-case basis.

New Patients
The best way to access care at the Health Centre is by becoming a patient of one of our family practitioners. Unfortunately, you can’t do that by contacting the Health Centre directly. But there is an easy way to get into the system.
You need to register through the provincial Health Connect Registry by going to https://www.healthlinkbc.ca/health-connect-registry or by calling 811. The registry helps protect your privacy and makes sure patients move through the system fairly. Once on the list, you will hear from us as soon as we have capacity to get you set up!
